Is there a relationship between rising US unemployment and the rise of the Canadian dollar? Canada’s financial stability depends on the health of America’s economy, as international trade accounts for 45% of Canada’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 79% of exports are to the United States. Canadian and American unemployment rates are positively correlated for that reason, as exemplified in early 2009. Due to America’s increasing government debt and declining interest rates, Canada’s economy is comparatively more stable. Canada’s credit rating is currently higher than America’s. A credit rating indicates the financial health of a country and how large the risk is for lenders to invest. Standard and Poor’s, a credit rating agency, currently downgraded America’s rating to AA+ from the highest score of AAA. The downgrade was a result of the U.S.’s increasing debt from the recession. Canada’s credit rating is still the highest at triple-A because of the country’s stability. Nationalism and the Imagination by Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak has being the hardest text I have read during my theory class at Sydney College of the Arts in 2014. My task was to read and explain the text to my theory class and my lecturer Dr Adam Geczy in 8 minutes as a YouTube video. This was an almost impossible task because Spivak’s Nationalism and the Imagination is a small book of 75 pages and at Sydney College of the Arts’s library we are only able to borrow the book for 2 hours. I later found the book online as a pdf file. It was first published in 2003 by Routledge and you can find it online as a pdf file. Morton analysis several of Spivak’s works and then he explains in an uncomplicated manner the reasons for Spivak’s comments and her writing in general. Although Morton does not directly comment on Spivak’s Nationalism and the Imagination you will be able to understand Nationalism and the Imagination because Spivak draws from previous works that Morton includes in his e-book Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak. Another way of understanding Spivak’s Nationalism and the Imagination is by reading the book reviews on the book. I already had the chip lead, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to win $25. The first three community cards (known as the flop) were dealt: ace of diamonds, seven of clubs, king of clubs. Each player before me bet, and I called. The fourth card, called the turn, was dealt: jack of clubs. I glanced at my opponents as they bet. These days, I find myself making more of an effort to get the hand I’ve been dealt to produce a reward, rather than wait for a hand I know will benefit me. Then, once more and more players find themselves out of chips and on the outside of the game looking at the final two or three players, the real action happens. As a player, this final stage is where you want to be. You have to decide whether to risk it all or wait for another hand. In poker, taking that one risk could make you the happiest person at the table, or make you second-guess yourself for the rest of the night. It is what a player lives for. Getting the opportunity to take my life to the final stage of the game, and take the chance on a hand that might pay off, is what I’m playing for.

His father was a Jewish lawyer, and before his death in 1838, converted his family to Christianity to preserve his job with the Prussian state. When Heinrich's mother died, he no longer felt he had an obligation to his religion, thus helping him in the decision in turning to Christianity. Karl's childhood was a happy and carefree one. His parents had a good relationship and it help set Karl in the right direction. His 'Splendid natural gifts' awakened in his father the hope that they would One day be used in the service of humanity, whilst his mother declared him to be a child of fortune in whose hands everything would go well. (The story of his life, Mehring, page 2) In High school, Karl stood out among the crowd. When asked to write a report on How to choose a profession he took a different approach. He took the angle in which most interested him, by saying that there was no way to choose a profession, but because of circumstances one is placed in an occupation. A person with an aristocratic background is more likely to have a higher role in society as apposed to someone from a much poorer background. While at Bonn at the age of eighteen he got engaged to Jenny Von Westphalen, daughter of the upperclassmen Ludwig Von Westphalen. She was the childhood friend of Marx's oldest sister, Sophie. The engagement was a secret one, meaning they got engaged without asking permission of Jenny's parents. Heinrich Marx was uneasy about this but before long the consent was given. Karl's school life other than his marks is unknown. He never spoke of his friends as a youth, and no one has ever came to speak of him through his life. He left high school in August of 1835 to go on to the University of Bonn in the fall of the same year to study law. His father wanted him to be a lawyer much like himself but when Karl's reckless university life was getting in the way after a year Heinrich transferred him to Berlin. Also, he did not go to most lectures, and showed little interest in what was to be learned. Karl's reckless ways were not tolerated at Berlin, a more conservative college without the mischievous ways of the other universities. While at Berlin, Marx became part of the group known as the Yong Hegelians. The group was organized in part due to the philosophy teacher Hegel that taught from 1818 to his death. The teachings of Hegel shaped the way the school thought towards most things. Those who studied Hegel and his ideals were known as the Young Hegelians. Hegel spoke of the development and evolution of the mind and of ideas. Although Karl was younger than most in the group, he was recognized for his intellectual ability and became the focus of the group. While at Berlin He came to believe that all the various sciences and philosophies were part of one overarching, which, when completed, which would give a true and total picture of the universe and man.
